Who we are

Something Changed (somethingchanged.fyi) sends SMS alerts about classroom Google Sites to allowlisted parents and caregivers.

What we collect

• Google account email and name (sign-in / allowlist only). We do not use your Drive or Calendar.
• Mobile number, SMS consent timestamp, consent text version, IP, and user agent.
• Classroom resource snapshots (hashes and structured diffs) used to detect changes.

What we do not collect

We do not store child accounts, class rosters, or student snack-helper names. SMS copy is generated from structured summaries and must not invent facts or include student first names.

Google data

Sign-in requests only your email. Classroom docs, folders, calendars, and the Site are read with a Google Cloud service account that the teacher shares those files with. Parent accounts are not used to browse Drive. We do not sell Google user data. You can revoke the sign-in app in your Google account.

SMS

Message frequency varies with classroom updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We keep a delivery log (number, status, Twilio id) to debug sends.
